Varg Vikernes (alias: Count Grishnack), the man who became famous with Burzum, has confirmed that he will be released on parole today (served almost 16 years). Once he has been released, he is required to check with the authorities bi-weekly for a while, and then once every month.

Vikernes has been sentenced to 21 years for the infamous murder of Oystein ‘Euronymous’ Aarseth (Guitarist of Mayhem), as well as for three accounts of church burning.
