We Did It

97 divers. 1993 goals. 32 hours. So the subaqueous table soccer marathon was a full success. Unfortunately this was not a Guiness World Record, as Guiness did not respond for about 8 weeks before the event. As the whole event has been recorded with two subaqueous video cameras it might be possible that they will accept the attempt afterwards. Pictures, Videos and more information will be available soon on wassersportzentrum-landau.de.

By the way, need to correct my previous post in one little detail: We did not play 2-on-2, but 1-on-1.

World Record Attempt

From 18th April to 19th April I will be part of the subaqueous table soccer marathon which will be held by Tauchsport Kerst and tries to achieve at least a 30 hours non-stop match. Like it’s surficial equivalent we will play 2-on-2, but for 30 minutes and not stopping after two sets as it’s common in official matches.

If you are interested, you can still apply for a slot. You do not need to be a diver, they will also offer trial courses for non-divers, so that you can be a part of the attempt in the end.

Even if we should not get the world record it is good practice after the long winter break at least.

OWD course finished

Actually already a week old, but on 24/25 May I completed my Open Water Diver course. The course have been exhausting sometimes, but it was really a great time. Now, I will try to get some more experience and invest a bit into my own equipment and then I’m going to reach the Advanced Open Water Diver status.
